Self Help Groups or “SHGs” combine access to low-cost financial services with a process of self management and development to provide a unique approach to financial intermediation. SHGs confer many benefits, both economic and social: they enable women to grow their savings, access credit from banks, and become greater contributors in village affairs.

Under the guidance and technical support of Bolpur Manab Jamin there are 870 women who have formed SHG to raise their income.
